Bender Ciccotto Successfully and Timely Assists a Large Wall Street Client with the Preparation of their Financial Statements and Completion of their Annual Audits by a National CPA Firm
We assisted a large Wall Street client after a private-equity sale that is operating in 5 different countries worldwide in preparing their 2008 and 2009 financial statements and related disclosures. We were engaged to write the financial statements on behalf of the client. As the former auditors, we always assisted our clients in preparing the financial statements and the related disclosures. During the audit, the Chief Financial Officer received an e-mail from the manager of the national CPA firm which contained a checklist that was in excess of 300 pages for the client to use to prepare the financial statements. The client never saw a document like this before nor had any experience in preparing a financial statement from scratch for a private-equity company operating worldwide The client called us and asked for our help in preparing the financial statements and disclosures. From here, we also assisted and facilitated the completion of the audits by a national CPA firm in an efficient and cost-saving manner over a 2 to 3-month period. We were involved in all audit meetings including the exit conference for the client offering suggestions and ways to make the audit run more smoothly. We worked many late nights but were able to get the job done by the clients’ deadline. We were asked to assist the client in the same fashion in the following year as well so the audit would run more smoothly.
