Bender Ciccotto Was Retained by a Food Management and Distribution Company to Provide a Report on the Status of Procedures Set Forth in a Settlement Agreement Between the Company and State Attorney General
Bender Ciccotto was retained to report on if the company was meeting its requirements according to the terms of the settlement agreement with a state attorney general’s office. We investigated if rebates from vendors were being passed along to schools participating in a specific state program. We reviewed all contracts the company had with its vendors that issued rebates. We traced the percentage of discounts each school received based on their ordering volume and the specific items they ordered for their school. We calculated all missed rebates that were due to participating schools, and reported back to all parties to make sure that credits were issued to the participating schools as required. We also set up a hotline for participating schools to contact with questions regarding the rebate program.
